Hi, My name is Emily and I love wildlife. I’m going to be a veterinarian when I grow up and work for Hope for Wildlife. I read the story of Sidewinder in the Funny Animals Collection with my Dad.. I like groundhogs! ?
HI DAVE! (and Bob)
*please read this to Dave*
I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN! I’d say i check this website once a week at least. Lol, I’ve been looking forward to this day for months and I KNOW you’re the best and of course will give us the right prediction. This decision for me means wether I’m marrying my fiancé or not so it means a lot to me. Ill be looking for you tomorrow 😉 Also love that I’m the 69th post, love people staying involved 😉 we whistler pig lovers have to stick together
I started last year taking a vacation day each Groundhog’s Day, so after seeing Phil in PA last year, I plan on being there to see Dave. I’m impressed with his predictions. Looking forward to a great time!
Hi Dunkirk Dave. We dream with our daughter to see you live one day… We are from Poland but people here also know you very well.
I hope Dunkirk does not see is hadow next year!
Hi Dunkirk Dave and Family! We are so happy that you predicted an early SPRING!! We are tired of all of this snow!
We have a Groundhog nearby named Brant Bob. He lives in Mrs. Zeffiro’s field. He agrees with your prognostication!
Happy Groundhog Day!

I love you Dunkirk Dave. You are my favorite chuck. And you are the cutest of all. To me, you are the only prognosticator! You’re my favorite of all animals. XOXO
I used to live in Chautauqua County, so I tend to find affinity with Dunkirk Dave, even though I am now in Pennsauken, NJ. If we had a ground hog, I’d be loyal to Dave.
I have a groundhog living under my backyard shed. Haven’t named him yet. My next door neighbor has two apple trees next to our fence, so he is well fed and leaves the gardens alone in the hood. Two summers ago, I tried to humanely trap him, but I guess the carrot bait wasn’t tempting enough. Then I tried spreading moth balls to repel him but that failed. After reading about “Dave”, I will now embrace his presence. He is kinda cute, and I’m a pushover for cute.
Hi, my name is Kinsey. We loved your book! I hope to see Sidewinder on groundhog’s day. I hope Sidewinder is ok because of her brain injury. She is very cute!
We have a groundhog living at our house and we feed her. She has gotten very very big!
P.S. I am six years old.
P.P.S, I have a caring for animals .
We met Dunkirk Dave many years ago at Bob Will’s house when we worked at the conference grounds. Dave is the best! He has never been wrong! Way to go, Dave!
Our daughter’s 13th birthday is on Groundhog’s Day 2013 and we are hoping to visit. What time do you recommend we arrive for the fun?
PEGGY & I FINALLY REMEMBERED TO CHECK OUT YOUR WEB SIGHT. WE DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE SUCH A CELEBRITY!
Saw your photo and article in local paper…so happy to see someone else who loves and respects groundies! Keep up the good work!
I’ll be 60 this year and Dunkirk Dave and I have grown up together. I wait every year for his prediction and look forward to Spring. Keep up the good work Bill and Dave.
We hope that your prediction is correct!!

Dave, I always enjoy seeing you give your predictions on the TV news, especially when you are enjoying your post announcement cookie.
Keep up the good work!
Can’t wait for Dunkirk Dave’s prediction this year!
Congratulations to Dunkirk Dave’s prediction for an early spring this year! His prognostications have been seen and read by many people all over the Country. Good job Dave!
We didn’t have school today, but our class in West Valley will be happy to know that you didn’t see your shadow!!
We met Dunkirk Dave back in 1985 when we bought a golf cart from Dave’s keeper. We can’t remember a year when Dave was not correct. Dave truly is the best!
